I messed up on my IB technical interview. Is there still hope?

All,

Yesterday I had an analyst interview with a BB to enter their IB program out west. I graduated last may from a non-target and am currently in the wealth management space. My networking finally paid off and I was able to get this interview, but fell flat on my face in front of two analysts when they asked me to walk them through the three financial statements. For some reason I was able to walk them through how depreciation and an increase in COGS affects the financials, but my mind went totally lights out for a few minutes. Call it nerves or call it bad luck, whatever the case may be, I failed. I was able to recover when we discussed LBO models and DCF, but was very upset that my nerves got to me early on.

I was supposed to have a phone call with the staffing director right afterwards, but he had a fire drill and the phone call got moved to next week. Any thoughts on what my focus should be for that?

I know that no matter what happens, I'll keep plugging away.

Was this for USA? Because I had the same thing with a fire alarm haha. I also blanked on technicals during but got an email invite for the next round this morning. I was super resigned to not moving on but also my guess is if you can get a first round interview there that's a good sign either way and if you keep pushing at different firms something should work out. Good luck!
