IB SA -> RX FT Possible?

Anyone have experience with this / know of anyone who successfully made that transition? Have been interested in RX (and recruited for it for SA) but ended up landing in a Generalist role at an EB

Is it worth dedicating time to prepping for a potential RX lateral or are there too few spots available (assuming normal deal flow and hiring)?

How many people are they seeking to fill the FT spots for PJT/EVR/HL RX? Would someone from a mid—or lower-tier BB be at a disadvantage compared to candidates from T2 or T3 RX firms?

If you are interested in it, I would go for it. RX technicals would only strengthen your understanding, and make you a stronger applicant for regular roles. There are available roles for FT. Not as available as internships, but if you have an IB EB experience you have the credentials to make the switch.

Someone I'm networking w went from midtier BB FT to PJT/EVR/HL Rx after a year, have a call with them later this wk and can update after
