IBD Summer Intern Slow in Excel and PPT help…

Hey guys I just started my internship in an ib. But I’m kinda slow in PPT and my analyst literally took over my slides and finished for me cuz I was slow… (she wanted four slides in 30min while it took me 1hr+)… Am I dinged? Does it mean I will not be getting a return offer… what should I do for the rest of the summer to make the situation better🥹🥹 Thank you guys so much

If your analyst expected 4 slides in 30 mins as an intern who probably just finished orientation, that's a hardo. Of course if it wasn't just to write your name 4 times.

Ask what you could've done better / practice in downtime.

Thank you so much. My analyst walked me through the shortcuts while she was doing the slides for me, which is good and I learned a lot. But do you think I am losing my return offer cuz I seemed so incompetent?

Idk if this is troll or not, maybe interns are really insecure these days but

If you don't improve by the end as they've literally told you how to get faster, then yes. People don't write off interns for one mistake, it's for making them consistently, even when they've been told how to resolve them.
