Incoming Sophmore, What is the next step?

Just finished my freshman summer, I did a BB PWM internship.

Going forward, what should I be aiming to land for next summer? I go to a non-target and I'm not a URM so I don't think I'd have a chance at any BB sophomore programs.

My goal is to intern at a Tech or Media focused boutique next summer in NYC(I'm from Manhattan). How possible is this and what can I do to make this happen?

I'm going to emphasize what Solidarity said.

Aim for a BB sophomore program. Not all of them are aimed at URM. Do anything front office but make sure its different from PWM so you have a different story to tell come junior recruiting.

A Posse Ad EsseUBS President's program, all sophomores and not URM-focused. Look at that.

except all the asians and whites are women..and the males urms.

Nope. Trust me, speaking from personal experience here, it's all either networking legends or Ivy League football gods.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Unfortunately, I'm neither at the moment!

You can become the first pretty easily. The second, well, not as much.
