Informational interview with MD at GSMB
This is my first post on WSO so pardon me if I make any mistake. I am a rising junior applying for Investment Banking summer 2019 internship. I am about to talk to a MD at GS Merchant Bank (he is an alumni at my school). What are some smart questions that I can ask him? Do I need to be really specific with my questions? Should I do research on the PE market or bring in macro news (like Fed rate hike, etc) and try to tie it to my conversation? How should I make the conversation more relevant to investment banking?
