Internal Transfer within Group

Hi Everyone,

Just took a middle market TMT analyst role in NY. My eventual goal is to move out to SF for personal reasons, does anyone have insight or experience as to how long internal transfers take? I would be in the same group just switching locations and slightly different coverage universe within TMT.

Thanks for the input.

It would really depend on the growth / expansion situation of your company. They will need to have a new opening to consider you for an internal transfer. Plus the SF Team will surely have a local talen pool they are considering. Hence i would recommen networking with the SF team early on.
