Internship with deal experience, but no modeling responsbility

Hi, I'm a prospective junior who is interning at a company's corporate development team.

Fortunately, I joined in the mid-early stage of the firm's PE exit deal, so I've been able to attend due diligence calls and learn how PE firms behave to win the deal. However, because the corporate development team is so small, and formed with all executive members (think VP, CFO level people), I have not received any modeling responsibility.

Rather, I have had a job to create one of the diligence materials (historical P&L) and market trend research.

Are these responsibilities enough to put on my resume for Junior SA recruiting? I appreciate your answer in advance.

P.S. I'm in a weird situation where my SA recruitment will be actually a year later, not this summer. P.S.2 I am also doing a summer boot camp program which teach from basic financial accounting to building full valuation model for one company.

Is there someone at a lower level that could help teach you? I would raise your hand and see if you can get some exposure. Even if not for real work but for practice and have someone above you take a quick glance / look to give you pointers and tips.

I had the same situation although I interned at an investment bank (long long time ago). Put together massive 50-100 page decks but virtually all of the modeling came from the M&A / product group. I did my own model myself and asked another analyst / associate check it and give me a few pointers. Boom, 1-2 sentences on the resume.
