Investing as incoming FT analyst
I’ll be starting full time at a BB in July, and won’t be able to invest in single stocks then. What should I do with my stock portfolio now? Is it stupid to invest if I’m gonna have to sell everything before July? Am I missing something?
There’s no point
Interested about this as well… I don’t think you have to liquidate your positions in individual names before you start, but maybe I’m wrong. Either way if you buy any stocks now, then you’d have to hold on to them for at least +- 2 years I’d suppose.
Seems like the game plan for analyst investing is to max IRA, deduct from your paycheck (at the very least) what your firm will match for your 401k (not sure if best move is Roth or regular here), while contributing some to an HSA as well.
Put whatever you have left on Jets Super Bowl futures and you’ll be set to retire in your mid 80’s!
