I don't think this is how it works.
Not sure who is hiring but boutiques in the area are:
Cappello Intrepid Imperial Trinity The Spartan Group Covert Roth Headwaters
Good luck.
I am confused....how is this suppose to work?
No one is going to make an introduction to a connection of his or hers for a complete stranger.
Thanks. Covert and The Spartan Group....seem pretty small....Anyone out there have any intell?
I interviewed at Spartan a few years back. Didn't seem that legit to me (they were located in the second floor of another company's office space). Their website spartantsg dot com shows 4 senior bankers but they don't seem to be doing a lot of deals. I would avoid them... much better for you to try Intrepid, Imperial, Headwaters or Roth.
Avoid Spartan.
Headwaters internships are unpaid. doesn't say good things about the quality of experience there.
Try B.Riley & Co, also Siemer & Associates
Can anyone give more insight on The Spartan Group? Anything at all, I'd appreciate it.
I will message you.
IB in LA (Originally Posted: 03/01/2013)
Hi, can anyone give me an idea of how the deal flow, exit opps, b-school prospects, and culture in LA offices differ from other bigger regions like SF or NY?
Also, what are some of the stronger groups in LA? I've heard people mention MS M&A, GS FIG, CS LA, Moelis, HL RX are pretty good. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
