I’m currently a finance student studying in the U.S., but my roots are in the Middle Eastern region, where I hope to start my investment banking career. I’ve been exploring opportunities in the region and was hoping to gain some insights from professionals or anyone familiar with the industry.
Specifically, I’d love to learn:
- Recruiting Cycles: When does the recruiting process typically start for IB roles in the Middle East? Are there specific timelines for summer internships or full-time roles?
- Networking: How crucial is networking, and what’s the best approach for connecting with professionals in the region? Any tips on how to make meaningful connections remotely would also be appreciated.
- What It Takes: What qualities, experiences, or skills do firms in the Middle East prioritize when hiring analysts?
