Is it ever the right time to leave?
MDs always push this idea that "you should've left when you weren't so entrenched in your current deal / role"...but when does anyone actually have a lull in their staffing to leave? Seems like such a BS excuse to try to shame anyone who ends up leaving the role. Shouldn't 2 weeks be enough for them to be up to speed?
That’s fucking BS nobody should ever delay their resignation cause of that.
Bank should re evaluate itself if it can’t handle a junior dipping
Just nod and smile... "Sorry the start date at the new place wasn't up to me, I'll make sure my deals are handed off correctly"
It's just boomer speak honestly, don't think anything of it. As long as you gave your 2 weeks you have done everything right.
