Is there anything VPs and MDs don't know?

Have you ever asked your VP or MD or even your associate a question about building a financial model and they didn't know the answer? At what point in your career do you feel like you know "everything" and can model out ANY single thing that comes your way?

I'll share a secret with you: nobody knows everything.

Some people accept that and try their hardest to learn things and are willing to share what they know and engage in discussions from which they might learn something new; some people don't, and try their hardest to appear that they know everything, while seeking to eliminate transparency or open discussion that might lay bare their shortcomings.

Seek out the former, and beware the latter.
