First one sounds like a pretty typical corporate banking role at the junior level. Your focus at the analyst/associate level is usually underwriting/portfolio management and not usually a big emphasis on relationship management. A bit concerning that they don't mention any client management though, because a senior associate type person will definitely start getting pulled into that at most larger banks.
The answer for that role will depend on whether SVB runs their coverage efforts entirely through their IB or if they have a team of corporate bankers providing "coverage", which would meet your definition of front office.
Short answer is that in that role I would expect that you will do some DD on the client and that normally involves meeting with the client (and the other lending teams if syndicated).
That makes sense, thank you. Do you think it'd be possible to hop from a credit solutions type role to venture debt, private credit, or debt fund? Maybe less client exposure, but was thinking with the DD + Credit Analysis on technology companies this might be a potential jump?

They key functions are process management and reporting. That screams back / middle office.
More importantly, though, who gives a shit.
Would something like this be more front office? https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/3091901510/?alternateChannel=search&…
