JPM + BofA Corporate Banking Comp

Any idea on where these 2 fall in terms of comp (base and bonus) for corporate banking analysts/associates? Based on what I’ve heard, it seems Citi pays the most out of all CB roles especially for bonuses, but curious where JPM and BofA fall

Based on the most helpful WSO content:

Corporate Banking Compensation for Analysts/Associates at JPM and BofA:

  1. JPMorgan (JPM)

    • Base Salary: Comparable to other top corporate banks.
    • Bonus: Generally, JPM is considered to be on the lower end of the bonus spectrum compared to Citi. However, it is still competitive within the industry.
  2. Bank of America (BofA)

    • Base Salary: In line with industry standards for corporate banking.
    • Bonus: BofA's corporate credit bonuses are around 20% at the analyst level, with figures like 60/70/80/100 being mentioned. This places BofA's bonuses slightly lower than Citi but still competitive.

Comparison with Citi:

  • Citi: Known for paying the highest bonuses among corporate banking roles. For example, a mid-bucket bonus at Citi was $60k on a $110k base, with top bucket bonuses reaching $80-90k.

Summary:

  • Citi: Highest bonuses.
  • JPM: Competitive base salary, lower bonuses compared to Citi.
  • BofA: Competitive base salary, bonuses around 20% at the analyst level, slightly lower than Citi.
