Any view on which group would be better to lateral into as a mid /senior level associate?

JPM M&A is the top 1 or 2 group at JPM. But you will be generalist at first so if you want to only work or TMT or C&R, EVR would obviously give you that. EVR probably pays higher, but you’d work more consistently on blue chip deals out of the JPM M&A group, the group is designed to be a “whale hunter”
Would probably go with JPM top groups (M&A / HC). With recession looming, definitely safer to be in a top group at a BB
