Just Started

Hi to whoever may be reading this I am 16 years old and I recently got introduced to investing and quickly realized to succeed in this world you need to invest so you can make money and the sad part is that I have no idea what I'm doing and I would like to have a mentor take me under their wing and teach me to become a better version of yourself.

claudio, great idea and well said. i’m sure many will suggest you first reach out to people closer to you in your network, after all we are just random people from around the globe (in reference to looking for a mentor). linkedin is a great resource, when the message is personable.

second, read as much as you can on the industry. there is a ton of free content on trading and portfolio management. i for one, use free content (edgar: 10k/10q, 13f fillings) and read barron’s/yahoo finance to make intelligent investment decisions.

Free advice: do not use your real name as a handle on a public forum and do not share your age if you are a minor. People now have your name and age - thankfully you can edit both your handle and post on this site.

Your heart is in the right place, I would start by taking finance / business classes at your school and dabbling in some of the most recommended investing books (Intelligent Investor, Barbarians at the Gate, Margin of Safety, etc.) to see if the content is for you and find more direction.
