Bump which office?
I applied to both of the NYC internships
b
she just schedules your interviews and confirms that you are eligible.
When is your interview?
Yep, same situation right here, I was hoping to see a post like me. I talked to a recruiter and she forwarded my resume to the group that I was most interested in, haven't heard back yet.
I go to a "target" school for Key and talked to the recruiting captains, so I might have a different situation.
had cleveland interviews for 2 different groups today and tomorrow.
What was the interview like? Was it mostly fit questions or did they grill you on the technicals at all? Also, when did your call with the campus recruiter take place?
it's group dependent, but they tend to be easy. the next round of interviews is within the next 2 weeks, so if you don't know the technicals right now, you will be screwed no matter what
What are achievable SA to FT laterals from Keybanc? Chances at MM/BB/EB?
Why don't you worry about getting an offer first lol?
I would also like to know?
I heard it depends a lot on location. Are you in CHI/CLE/NY? Obviously your odds of lateraling to MM/BB/EB are higher if you are in Chicago/NY because you are closer to those other firms whereas if you are in Cleveland, you are more limited. I don't think the fact that HQ is in Cleveland matters much. Either way, it is going to take a lot of work, but definitely not impossible.
^ that is not entirely correct. Chicago office is very limited at Key in terms of positions. Cleveland Industrials / M&A is really solid and would offer you an opportunity to trade up after a year or two at Key or even go to the buyside.
I interned at Key a long time ago and then went FT at a MM bank in Chicago that was a much better fit for me. I have several friends that did 1 year and lateraled somewhere else as well. It's a good addition to your resume if this is your goal, but I was able to get the FT somewhere else because I networked my ass off.
As someone stated, focus on getting an SA offer, then doing well and getting a return offer for FT. If you don't do those things first, you don't have shit to leverage for somewhere else.
I won't dox you but I think I know where you work lol
Still holding out hope for a call. Congrats to all those moving forward.
Were you not contacted by a recruiter?
No, I was never contacted. Not at a target school and hadn't made any solid connections there.
Had 2 Calls with two separate groups. Said I would hear back in 1-2 weeks and that there are two more rounds after this...
Cleveland or NYC?
Cleveland
Got same thing. Heard back from 3 groups. Still awaiting call for interview slot.
Heard they give you 48 hours to accept the offer if you get one, can anyone confirm this? Sounds insanely short...
Would piss me off if true
Can confirm this is true. 48 hrs to decide on the offer.
Anyone heard about S&T process or has it even started?
I mean there was the first round (similar to a hirevue) but that was sent out a while ago. Beyond that I haven't heard back.
Damn so the app has been rolling since june? i just applied last week is it too late? any idea when superdays are/process going to wrap up
Anyone know the average number of SA they take for each office?
I was told there were a total of 70 spots for the Cleveland office for 2021
Are you aware of the breakdown between groups or were you just told the overall number?
That's likely 70 across all groups (so it includes people in equity sales and some other random shit). I have known several people that interned there and it was generally 2 SAs per group (so 2 industrials, 2 M&A, 2 consumer, etc.) but that may have changed now.
Anyone else have a call with Industrials? Waiting to hear back...
Had a call with industrials and have not heard back either.
Have not heard back from industrial either
just heard back for Industrials — 3 interviews Wednesday.
Is this for Cleveland?
Did you have a phone call with the group earlier this week?
How were they?
Has anyone heard back from any groups in NYC yet or just Cleveland?
So is the next round for Cleveland industrials completely out?
No idea... I just know I got an email a couple hours ago
Was it for Cleveland or Chicago?
Got 3 30 min interviews for Chicago industrials this Wednesday
Did you hear back?
Have not heard back yet. You?
No, When do you expect we hear back?
No clue, might email HR if I don’t hear back by end of day.
Anyone apply to Financial Sponsors in NYC?
Yes
.Anyone hear from SF office
Seems like no one on here has
Anyone heard back from any of the DCM teams
Yes
I have a series of interviews in a super day format with a coverage team in CLE. I also know for a fact that some teams are moving much more slowly in terms of recruiting at CLE.
Anyone heard back from CLE M&A or Financial Services group?
Anyone still have a super day coming up?
Have one with Cleveland M&A next Monday.
I had first round with M&A. When did you get super day invite?
Anyone interview with the Chicago Industrial team? Interview was fairly easy
Did You Hear back yet?
Nothing man
Damn just got the rejection email. I hit it off really well with 2/3 interviewers too
Mine was unique in comparison to the rest of the groups in terms of what they wanted, but overall, it is very fit-based.
Anyone heard back yet from yesterday’s super day?
I don’t think it’s a superday. According to an HR, it is just a first round in a Superday format. At least this is true for CLE industrial.
If you had 3-4 interviews than it was a Superday. If you had one 30 min. call than it wasn't a Superday. At least that's the case for the groups that I have been interviewing with.
none of my interviewers have responded to my thank you emails. Am I dinged? I interviewed for CLE industrial. Lol
you're tweaking bro. Have had 0 correlation between replies and offers in my experience. I heard there's a second round early next week so they should be letting you know tomorrow.
Had Public Finance interview for CLE office today. Anyone else?
Yes, it was pretty easy. They are cutting from 6 to 2-3 candidates fyi.
Final round is out. Got the call earlier today.
any other final round invites go out?
.
wait really? I interviewed for industrial CLE but haven’t gotten anything yet
got 4 rejection emails within half an hour today, really took a hit on the self esteem
From which groups?
Financial Services, LSSR, Corp Syndications, and HG/HY. These were all for Cleveland and I had at least one call for reach, multiple for some. This has just made me realize I might need to go out and get some help practicing for interviewing or something.

anyone know about public finance process?
Which office? PF CLE final round is on Wednesday.
Sheesh they wrapped up quick for PF wow. Was hoping to recruit for West Coast PF
Anyone get next steps in any processes besides PubFin?
PM me
I think they are done interviewing candidates
Like done with superdays? or just done doing first rounds as in no more new candidates?
Done with superday or are currently doing superday
I believe Financial Sponsors for NYC is open still.
Still no news....
At this point they are probably cancelling their internship program hahA
Just got rejected. Feel so sad. A recruiter told me my technicals were too weak.
Damn, sorry to hear. At least you know what you need to work on. Start studying now and hammering down the technicals. You got this.
Sorry to hear that, which group were you interviewing for?
Anyone else get a phone call today?
No, was it a positive call?
I didn't get a call. Hopefully tomorrow.
Has anyone actually ever been rejected over the phone??
Have offers started to come out?
Yes
Chicago or CLE?
For people interested - just to shed light on the process. I had SD for M&A on Monday and got a call on Tuesday (8.04) with an offer. I know other offices/groups are on different timeline. Best of luck.
Congrats on the offer, which location?
congrats - I accepted an offer there as well. PM if you want to connect on LinkedIN
Do you mind PMing me. I have no idea how to do that - lol.
Anyone receive an offer from CLE office?
Nvm saw the comment above. Any idea of which groups gave offers?
Anyone hear back from Cleveland Industrials?
I'm still waiting on Chi industrial
I've heard people who have accepted Industrials at both locations.
Anyone heard back from the Seattle office yet?
Anyone hear back from Power & Utilities Cleveland or Chicago Industrials in terms of accepted offers?
I applied for P&U CLE and have not heard back lmk here if you do.
Offers have been sent out for CLE P&U
Did you have the interview with like the VP and 2 MD's and then they sent you an offer or how did it work for you?
4 interviews: 2 md's, vp, associate last week - received offer within 24 hrs.
Anyone have any idea about S&T timeline or know anyone who is going through the process, whether it has even started yet or not??
Has anybody heard back from ER? Or know anything about it’s recruiting timeline. Thanks
in years past ER process was later on into the fall, after IB, so you should be fine.
Any news on SF? Also, what did first rounds and superdays look like?
Does KeyBanc send out offers after superday within 24 hours? I did a superday this week but it has been 3 days since the superday and I still haven't heard back yet. Does this mean that I am rejected or waitlisted?
Thanks guys!
How long did it take to get a response after your first round?
You ever hear back?
