KLR Group info?

Hey,

Does anyone know anything about KLR Group, specifically their investment banking division? They are relatively new, and I know they are in the energy space but thats all I can gather. They are located in Houston and NYC.

If anyone has interviewed/worked for them, some insight would be great. Thanks!

I interviewed with them a while back. Not sure if I can be of much help, but I'll give it a shot.

I believe it was founded by a couple of ex-Rodman & Renshaw bankers. R&R closed shop a few years ago when it ran out of capital, I believe. They're looking to grow their Houston operations. They seem like a group of smart people, though my impression was that they come from technical backgrounds for the most part.

The work is very diverse, and everyone gets involved in many aspects of the services they offer. Much travel and discussions between the NY and Houston teams.

What I like is that they are a full service bank. I personally wasn't big on how technical heavy it seemed (people with engineering degrees, etc.), but it makes sense, given that it's an energy boutique. It would not have been a good fit for me. Overall, they seem like a group with good heads on their shoulders.

Sorry about the rambling. I hope this helped at least a tiny bit.
