KPMG Corporate Finance to Investment Banking?

Hi, all,

Does anyone have any insight into the exit opportunities for KPMG's corporate finance group? I am applying to several investment banks this year, but I don't have a lot of certainty about my chances (accounting major from small liberal arts school in the mid-west). I have a lot of contacts inside KPMG, including an audit partner who has worked in my target office. He has offered to forward my resume for any position with KPMG, so I think I'd stand a good chance of getting an interview and potential job offer. Has anyone heard of KPMG CF alumni transitioning into investment banking, perhaps at the associate level? Does Big Four CF come anywhere close to IB in terms of exit opportunities into private equity, etc?
