That's what I've been seeing too (i.e., not always the day of/after like for SA recruiting)
Do you know why the wait time for the lateral process can span >1 week, though?
there's no structure as opposed to SA. For SA a bank hires c.60 interns, thus every step is synchronised and calculated e.g week 1: 1st rounds, week 2: 2nd rounds, week 6 AC and decisions right after.
For lateral you are competing for 1 role, so the bank might want to see more candidates, or you did the final round before the remaining final rounds for the week. Or the bank might be waiting for approval for the HR to give you an official offer, you never know.
