Lateraling from lower tier to good boutique/BB?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew how hard it is to move from a lower tier IB (think crédit agricole, natixis, ING, etc) to a good boutique or BB - maybe not goldman but citi/bank of America/deutsche/Rothschild etc. Right now I’m on an off cycle internship (year long) and was thinking about trying to move at the end. If not I have a job as an analyst at my current place in LevFin. Would it be possible to lateral at the end of my internship to a better place? Or after one year as an analyst in levfin? Right now I’m in S&T as an intern. Thanks!
