Lazard MM CLT

I am trying to break into Lazard MM's Charlotte office off-cycle, or at least position myself for recruitment in the best possible way.

I've reached out to folks there, but I can't find anything online about the culture in the CLT office -- I basically only know that it is Healthcare focused (which is what I've been wanting to do for a long time), and it's "small"...whatever that means. No one in Charlotte seems to know anything about it either. I ask around and people are like, "Oh, Lazard...yeah those guys work pretty hard and do healthcare".

And if anyone can comment on the likelihood of breaking in off-cycle for this office, that'd be great. I'm sure it's difficult, but if I've learned anything about this process, it's that off-cycle hiring isn't as mythical as people on WSO seem to think. Know several people who just broke into WFS IBD off-cycle, and I would imagine that's equally, if not more, challenging than LAZ MM.

I don't want to put my eggs in one basket but the Healthcare focus makes this firm really attractive, and it's undoubtedly the best HC firm in CLT...I really want to make this happen.

Thanks.

Have you thought about applying for ER positions at UBS and KeyBanc? Recently, they are hiring a lot of people in NYC.
