Looking for a Mentor

I'm not sure if this is the right place for it, so if there's a different place I should post to, please let me know.

I'm a recent graduate and I'm new to the a city. I've found a job that I enjoy and that I've been working at since I've moved, but I can't say it's investment banking or that it's what I'd like to do for the rest of my life.

Personally, I've found New York to be an challenging place. I've heard people say numerous times that it's one of the biggest, yet loneliest places, and I would have to agree. It's one thing to sit behind a computer and talk to people, but it's another to really meet and connect with someone. Everyone's situation is unique and I admit that you get generally sane advice from random users online, but here's the disconnect for me: If what you say fails, no one cares. And on the other hand, even if your advice sounds good, can I trust it? Do you care if it works? Can you help me along the way to make it work? That's the difference.

It seems hopeless to get help, but at the same time, too much substandard help is always around the corner. What I'm trying to say is that it's hard to build a meaningful relationship here, especially with someone who knows where you are and is willing to really help.

Anyways, I thought I would ask, that if anyone's interested, I'm looking for a mentor to help me along my way, keep my feet on the ground, and with whom I can build a meaningful relationship with. If there is such a person, please message me and we can get to know each other more, meet up, etc.
