M3 Capital Partners RE IB/PE

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows anything about M3 Capital Partners in Chicago? I'm looking to get into REIB/REPE and specifically Chicago. I just came across these guys and was hoping to get any of your opinions? They seem legit but I'm looking for some info that isn't just on their website

I would call it a mix between a boutique investment bank and a smaller PE company. They focus on real estate and win a decent amount of mandates. For a smaller firm, their global reach is actually pretty good. I know the hours are better than BBs and MM focused shops - the pay is the same. They do not take a lot of people (probably 4 per class), so fit is EXTREMELY important - you also have to be sound technically. I know they recruit some pretty qualified candidates (Wash U, Michigan, U of I, Williams, etc). I know a guy who works there - very nice, down to earth, and extremely intelligent. One good thing is that you learn the entire deal-making process, as opposed to just the technical skills that drive deals. If you end up there, you want to be in Chicago. Their office is in the UBS tower - very good location. Let me know if you need any more info.
