From what I've heard its a good shop with some interesting work given the ability to use their own cash to invest alongside clients. Can't speak to exits, pay, or groups.
Interned there and they definitely do niche things. Culture is more chill than most other banks. Huge focus on infrastructure and energy deals which put you in a good spot for some of Infra funds at MFs and UMMs. A good portion of the deals you do is for the PE arm of the bank. Other niche areas include tech LBOs (advises KKR on a ton of their tech deals), business services, gaming/lodging, and growing in software.
Pay is def below street but not too much. (10-20% lower)
For pay discount is that from the base (e.g. $75K) or factoring in bonus?
With bonus. Base is street level
Any insight on the exits and the size of their typical deal? Are they more MM focused or do they do larger deals?
Interning there this summer. Deals range from $100-2,000mm for the most part. Just did a big Caesar Entertainment deal. Also some big ones in the education industry. But a bunch in the 100-300mm range
