Managing director transfer to PE fund?
Hi everyone. Let's assume a MD at an investment bank decided to get into PE. Would he have a good chance of getting in? Would he immediately make partner or start as a junior?
Depends on the size of the fund, industry focus, and wheter it's an established fund or a startup. There's a 0% chance that an MD would leave their role at a bank to join a fund for any level below Partner.
