Master’s student in a non-target with a shitty background – any advice helps!

Hi there, I am a newbie to this platform and now I am confused on what should I do to make my way into IB. I am an international (I’m in the states now tho) master’s student in business analytics in Fordham with a bachelor’s degree from a state university in math (with a salvage GPA – 2.1 out of 4). I’ve previously worked as intern in a bank and an equity research company during my sophomore and junior year, but those firms were not in US.

My master’s program will not last long and I’m seeking graduation in Dec 2021. My transcript in Fordham is a clean sheet as this is my first semester, and I know with my undergraduate background my CV will get shredded almost immediately. I’ve applied to several firms for SA 2021 including UBS and no one have replied me yet – which is not surprising.

Now I am shooting for a 4.0 GPA in business analytics and I am worrying about this major is not-so-related to IB, based on that I am also preparing for the Feb 2021 CFA level 1 sitting. With a messed-up background, I currently have no idea if I still have a shot to make my way into IB. Any advice helps!
