maybe a dumb question

I am new to the recruiting process and I'm hoping I didn't screw my chances. I have an interivew this coming friday for a SA position in the IBD at a BB in NYC and they are flying me out the night before. I have a few friends in NYC so I figured I'd crash with them for the weekend and fly home Sunday. Does the firm frown upon you staying those extra days as the flight in on their penny? Should I have just flew in on thursday night and gone home friday evening after the interview?

I'm just looking at it from an image standpoint and hoping I didn't tarnish anything before I even interview.

Firms don't usually care unless it is more expensive to fly on Sunday instead of Friday. During one of my BB SA super days they were actually surprised that I was flying out right after the interview on Friday...

Most people fly out the day after but at my superdays half were flying out later that afternoon and one was staying through Sunday like you plan to. I imagine they probably won't care, they'd be more concerned if you took the corp card and used it for something other than airfare/hotels/taxis like one knucklehead I remember was dumb enough to brag about.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

No one cares... they are only going to look at your performance as they will have made a decision on you before you've flown back in all likelihood. Also, bankers (the ones making the decisions) don't have time to care when you fly out. They are thinking about more important things so it won't make a difference to them.
