MD forwarding resume - when to follow up?

MD at mid-BB (CS/Bar) said he will forward my resume to HR a month ago, and said he thinks they won't be doing the next round of outreach until end of summer.

It's been a month and haven't gotten a first round yet. When should I follow up with the MD, and what do I write in the email? Essentially I wanna know whether he's followed through and sent my resume to HR or not, and when first round interviews will take place as many people have interviewed already. Don't wanna come off as annoying though.

Thanks!

Just ask politely if they know where the submission is at. Don't ask if they've even submitted it or not. "Hey MD, I just wanted to see if you had any updates or feedback from HR about my resume" -The End
