Missing an information session

So there was an information session and coffee chats event for a BB today (at a target). Wasn't able to attend it since I had to be at work during the time frame.

I know there was a sign-in for the event, which sucks. Am I significantly disadvantaged for the bank or can I just email analysts there and try and compensate through some phone calls.
