Moelis SA 2025 London

Hi all, I've seen that Moelis kicked off recruiting for London SAs a month earlier this year. I'm new to all this so just thought of starting this thread so questions on timeline/calls etc could be asked.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some insights into the Moelis SA recruiting process:

  1. Recruitment Timeline:

    • Moelis typically starts their recruitment process in May. This can vary slightly each year, but it's a good benchmark to keep in mind. (Source: 2021 SA Recruiting Timelines)
  2. Interview Process:

    • The first round often includes a "Tell Me About Yourself" (TMAY) question, followed by several follow-up questions related to your experience. For example, one candidate mentioned being asked about their experience creating an equity research report. (Source: Moelis 2019 SA recruiting)
  3. General Tips:

    • Networking usually kicks off in January-February of your sophomore year and continues until you receive an offer. It's important to stay in touch with contacts throughout the process. (Source: Los Angeles IB SA Recruiting Mini-Guide)

If you have more specific questions about the timeline or calls, feel free to ask!

Applied 27th, got test yesterday and did it today - u might be dinged :/

3 weeks from a certain date or 3 weeks from when each individual completed it.

Thx tho, here’s hoping.

Completed OA around the first week of August, have not heard anything back.

Received an OA link before submitting application. Decided to email recruiting to ask whether I should complete OA or if they could reopen my application. No response. Emailed again. No response. 7+ days have passed since receiving OA link. What should I do?

Very frustrated as Moelis was one of my high targets and thought I had a strong chance thanks to prior networking.

Stay strong fellow prospect, there's still like 4 places left that do RX *insert other copium here* - gotta be optimistic.

most banks send interviews in batches and some often start with diversity candidates, so if you see banks running first rounds it does not necessarily mean you got dinged if you have not heard back yet (Moelis interviewed people in February last year for example)

Spoke to HR recently- first round interviews should be coming out in the next couple weeks

Yo new hopium just dropped, let’s go.

Fr tho seeing all the EBs at ‘First Round’ on trackr and having none is pain.

Anyone else just received the oa? applied last week and just got the oa invite. is this supposed to be automatic or selective? saw some other comment saying it's automatic
