MOST important thing to do throughout internship?

As (many) interns prepare to start next week, I was hoping to get a discussion going over the single most important thing for SA's to do in order to nab a return offer. Because let's be honest, most college students (including myself) are lazy and largely incompetent and therefore unable to act on a whole laundry list of suggestions ...

Fire away.

Do as the analysts do.

I remember my VP telling me at the start that interns have the tendency to lose their common sense during their internship. I had trouble believing him at first, but I saw one guys e-mailing our CEO for a coffee. Another kid left at 5, "because his contract states so".

Your internship is a 10 week long first date. You need to pursuade the bank that you are relationship material. The full timers have passed this first date and are now in an (abusive) relationship with the bank. So if you do what they do, you should pass the test as well. If you want to be an analyst, be like an analyst.
