Doing the best at networking ≠ interview ≠ offer. Don't jump the gun. Worry about Step 1 first

Currently at Blair, this place is horseshit. Everyone on my team is quitting after bonus. The culture is one of the worst on the street. You will never see daylight and they constantly try to talk you into accepting a shitty bonus when the entire street pay higher. I would rather be at fifth third.

Tbh, I think people's experiences are all over the map. While my team is getting crushed, culture is still fantastic.

Real test will be February 1st. Literally nothing else matters than 1) bonuses and 2) how many people quit immediately after. Hard to judge the trajectory of the firm until those two datapoints present themselves

I can second this. Also at Blair, second year now. Looks like things might change for the better this coming Feb coming off recent call regarding comp and promotion. And I always thought the people were fantastic and our firm ran a very good M&A sell-side process compared to our peers (MMs and a few EBs). It's a good place to learn the trade for sure. But again, it's still IB and it definitely sucks sometimes. Re-BofA, it's a major bank and literally on WSJ a couple months ago, although for the very bad and wrong reason. But it can't be a wrong place to start your career given it's a recognized, major platform. Go with what your guts tell you.
