Below LMM M&A so a step above business brokerage. You probably won’t see any true LMM deals at the $100M to $140M range.
Last deal that they completed was approx. 150M.
Also appears like most of the MDs come from the big five banks and worked on large cap deals before moving over to this team.
Doesn’t sound like business brokerage at all.
look, don't come here for confirmation bias. it's obviously a business brokerage but you can still tell your friends you are an investment banker. happy?
Not looking for confirmation. Just genuinely curious as to what you think business brokerage is? I would think that business brokerage consists of selling companies whose EV is below $10M. Everything above say $50M would be mid-market in Canada in my opinion
That guy/gal is confused. It’s just their mid-market team
LMM are deals between $100M to $150M. Business brokerage would be under that so anything under $100M, although I’d still consider $100M borderline business brokerage.
Mid market is like $200M to $1B in TEV with the median being $500M. Upper middle market would be like $500M to $3B with the median being closer to a billion than $500M.
Not in Canada. MM is around 70 to 200 mil range in the market.
