Next steps for an IB internship?

I recently started putting a lot of research into my future in IB/S&T as an undergrad. I feel behind now though as I didn't know much about recruiting cycles and processes beforehand and I'm hoping someone can guide me in some way. I'm a student who attended a CSU for a year, transferred to a CC for a second year, and am now transferring to USC as a rising Junior. From what I've read and learned, this is not going to set me on the right path to land an internship this upcoming summer, so I'm just looking for some advice on where to go from here. Delay graduation to try and hit sophomore recruitment cycles? All advice is appreciated, thank you in advance.

You’ll 100% be able to land something outta usc but you should prolly defer your start date, not sure if you’ll be able to considering tuition costs are high. If you can, join TIS Leaders and mentors and you’ll be chillin

Like you said, tuition costs would be the only hindrance with that idea, but it sounds like the best option thus far. If I'm not able to push back grad though, do you have any other tips/ideas how I could accelerate my path? TIS is a great idea, I plan on trying for that. Thanks!

You won’t be able to get into TIS Leaders or mentors as a junior, they only take freshmen/sophomores as it’s geared for recruiting for your junior year summer. Not sure what the other finance orgs on campus look like. Would recommend networking your ass off and trying to land some boutique and then lateral for FT

If I delayed graduation by a semester thereby making me an incoming Sophomore, would I have a chance at TIS then? Or do you think it would still be a no go?
