No Context, A hypothetical question for investment banking recruiting
If one were to do a finance/econ degree at a non target and started their first year career (22/23 yo) in a non-ib/consulting background, how hard would it be to break into an EB/BB for ib analyst positions (eventually PE associate)
VERSUS doing the same 4 years but also doing a Top MS program(Harvard/MIT/Stanford) and starting their financial career at 24/25 with an IB/ M&A career at a BB/EB?
an MBA is also an option down the line, but doing finance in the early 20s is the prospectful path.
