Non-target Interviews?
Wondering has anyone from non-target heard back from BB IBDs?
The only things I am having now are some PE and BBs' Merchant Banking Division interviews. Not even a single IBD interview...
Fingers crossed.

PM me.
I heard back from all of them already. I did not just apply through the website though. To be honest if you just submit an app online without any networking I wouldn't expect to hear anything back, but they do run multiple cycles and some do nontarget recruiting after other recruiting.
NYC offices or local ones? Thanks.
Mix of both. All of the NY ones were through employee referral systems though so possibly not the standard nontarget round of recruiting. Again though, the online submission system is called the black hole for a reason. I applied through online systems at places much lower-tier than the BB's I got interviews with and never heard back from all but one of them.
JWR, can you give some names of the banks you've heard back from? As far as the better known ones? (BB, elite boutiques)
All of the BB's except for Deutsche Bank (didn't apply). 4 in NYC, the rest in a regional office but again most of them were through direct contact and employee referral systems, so no idea if it was the same time frame that they would respond to applications received online (if they do respond to them). Never heard back from Evercore/Greenhill/Moelis but those I just applied to through their online systems.
when you say "heard back"
is that being dinged or interview/offers?
All first round interviews. A couple weren't specifically scheduled though but were more notifications that I would be invited once they did begin scheduling if I was still available (was considering an offer at this time). Ended up turning most of them down though because I accepted the offer from my first superday rather early on.
The fact is all banks run multiple rounds of superdays for different schools, study abroad students, non-targets, etc... so not having heard back as soon as you hear that they've begun interviews isn't necessarily a certain indication that you've been dinged. But at the same time if you just applied through their website (no OCR) and don't have any contacts at that firm your chances of getting an interview are pretty poor. I never heard back from any of the places I just applied to online.
Cosign, I had received a rejection email from a MM and I had Superday schedule had contact pass my resume and played it safe by applying online. I get a typical all out response "Saying sorry blah blah" Next week I had Superday lined up...Online apps for BB , top MM and Elite boutique don't do much IMO.. Its about having someone gunning for you in those places..
.
Do you guys know if MS or Barclays will have another superday? I heard Morgan Stanley's last superday was in September.
I know BarCap had resume drop deadline yesterday at a friends target (NYU). MS Superday for F.T was prob Sept as for S.A no idea...
Follow up and keep networking
CS and Citi have started non-target first rounds, UBS had their main non-core superday last week
I've heard the opposite from a UBS worker..They are finishing up targeting recruiting and now and then focus on non-targets unless they do it twice.
