Normal to get a project as 1st year analyst similar to an end of summer intern project?
Working at a bb, was asked to pick a company and complete a 3 statement model and present to the team. possible that doing bad can lead to getting fired?
It’s probably more a training exercise. It’s a good experience off the bat if actual deal flow is low.
If they’re making you do this yes doing badly will lead to you getting fired. I would ask a bro (or bra) to check your work
