Not getting any interviews, want to gauge the room…

I’ve been applying for a little over 2 months now, easily 150-200 applications. I’ve had two interviews… I went to a Top 20 school, graduated with a 3.7 and have a year of LMM experience and have 3 closed deals & 2 on on going under my belt. Have spent a few hundred on resume reviews, asked industry professionals etc etc. Is it like this for anyone else? Getting really frustrated

Just wrapped up recruiting, Top 20 school, mmsa no RO, my stats: I Applied 172, straight denied 62, first rounds 8, SD 2. Was really tough but actually had follow ups from apps sent late august and had most of my traction kick up this month with 5 first rounds last 2 weeks. I was desperate so I applied all over the country, 50% in NY, 10% in Texas, and 10% in Cali. I couldn't let myself graduate without a job and go back home so I sacrificed my physical and mental health, and personal life by living on linkedin for months, ended up signing in coverage under CIB umbrella and am super happy.

*EDIT: Would not recommend making sacrifices you don't have to, health should always be a priority. Btw credit agricole just opened a few spots and MUFG is currently recruiting for securitization and PF spots.

Congrats man, been in a similar situation myself and that offer feeling is truly different. Are you Class of ‘23 or ‘24?

Graduating ‘24 myself. Such a difficult FT recruiting market, honestly I think I’ve had less than 30 apps as it’s tough to even find roles for FT right now. Got a few offers in luckily after some dry spells but something still tells me to keep recruiting and push for more, not sure yet.

If I were you, I’d start ‘24 and enjoy the Spring, it’s our last few months anyways before the joy of FT life lol

Nice, it sucks out there but just keep pushing as you are. A lot of boutique and some balance sheet banks still recruiting. type in "investment banking analyst" on linkedin jobs and stuff will pop up. currently 5-10ish spots open that I currently see, although they are scattered across the country but a job is still a job.
