Looking to lateral to MM HC boutiques in NYC and have been having trouble finding any reliable and up-to-date data points on base + bonus, thinking firms like Cain Brothers, MTS, Edgemont. Any datapoints would be greatly appreciated.

The remaining independents typically pay street, i.e. competitive with generalist boutiques and MMs
At the associate level, I know MTS pays above street (probably in-line with EBs). Cain pays slightly below street I believe. Recruiting process at both these firms are very different IMO. Go off anon if you have any further questions and I can PM.
My experience of interviewing with MTS (for a summer analyst position) felt pretty standard - first round phone and then in-person superday. What happened with your process?
At the MBA level, both are very different IMO. I was very impressed by how MTS handled the process of networking / interviewing more so than any other firm (didn't get an offer but really liked interacting with the majority of the bankers I spoke to during the process, has a HR team thats very helpful). Have a mixed opinion of how Cain's HR runs recruiting but the actual bankers were on par with MTS as likeable / solid to network with.
I'd assume Cain pays based on Key's schedule now?
Not 100% sure but I believe so.
