I got an offer recently from PJT for SA in Summer 2019. Should I wait for other opportunities or will it ultimately not matter much as a summer internship? Will I be able to shop for analyst roles with this as a prior internship or will I be restricted to PJT full-time?
Any advice or opinion appreciated.

Is this NYC? And if so M&A or Rx?
PJT is an excellent place to be so congrats on the offer. You can probably accelerate some other timelines if you want to have more optionality. IMO its a great offer and you will likely be well positioned for FT recruiting if you decide to re-recruit.

hmm that makes the choice more complicated. I've only been through the NYC process so I only know the NYC team, but I would try to figure out whether or not its possible to transfer to the NYC office for full time. I would also consider accelerating other places. I imagine the boston team is quite small so it might be hard to find info on this site.
Honestly unless you are dead set on being in NYC, the marginal benefit of re-recruiting for full time is basically zero. PJT has fantastic exits and most people would kill for the internship. I say take it, kill it and get a return offer.

I believe only the Boston office does tech deals? So if you are into tech IB you should probably choose PJT Boston over NY
That's not true. The NYC office has executed on Tech in the last year (and obviously so has SF). That said, the Boston office is tech heavy and really focuses in the area, so your work will at that office will be much more heavily skewed to tech than it would be in NYC.
