No. Usually you will secure a place via an internship in a specific group and more often thannot the offer will be for that group.
Thanks for the response, but the same question then follows for internship placement. You are not actually interviewed by specific groups, right? My understanding was that you are interviewed by the bank as a whole, and then placed later on.

No. You're interviewing for a job (internship) in that group.
So.....will tthe top groups then be biased toward top schools' graduates?
Once you secure an interview, you're all on a level playing field. From there, it's how well you interview, how well they like you, how much you know. Your degree/college won't matter.
