Public Finance to Policy Making
Has anyone seen anyone go from Public Finance to policy making later on in their career? Is this any more or less doable than a traditional IB role?
Im an analyst at one of the BBs in pub fin and I’ve always been interested in policy making, but am wondering if im actually any better off towards that longterm goal than if I were to move to a regular coverage group. Worried about some of the already well discussed pubfin drawbacks on this thread if i end up making this my career.
Any advice appreciated.
