Question about Recruiting Process

For larger banks are the recruiting processes divided by office? Also are they further divided by coverage groups? Ex. Does GS New York have its own recruiting process that is independent of GS Chicago's? I just need confirmation so that I know I am not wasting my term networking with people at multiple offices when one would suffice. Thanks in advance.

Recruiting processes are usually divided by office. Sometimes, it is divided by coverage group (although NYC usually isn't). For example, CS SF recruits separately for TMT vs HC.
