Feel free to answer these questions at your discretion or to add any additional thoughts.

  • Now that you are more than halfway through your summer, what do you wish you had done differently in preparation?

Now that you are more than halfway through your summer, what do you wish you had done differently in preparation?

I’ve taken almost no accounting classes so that would have been helpful

What are you thankful for knowing coming into the summer?

Being quick and comfortable (relative for your experience level) in Excel and PowerPoint going in makes your life so much easier

What have you noticed that separates higher quality SAs (your peers or yourself) from others?

I have no insight into who was a high or low quality summer analyst other than the kid who didn’t get a return offer, but I’d guess it’d be attitude, initiative, ownership and attention to detail

Most important lesson you've learned this summer (through a mistake or otherwise)?

Your attention to detail probably needs improvement even if you’ve been praised on your attention to detail previously (but everyone knows that and expects that). A 4.27” header is not a 4.25” header and someone will notice you forgot a period in footnote #2
