Undershirt is a must. If you have to, go early and go somewhere inside w air conditioning so you don’t meet them sweaty.
my tip: always arrive early to an AC'd place. It gives you time to cool off & clean yourself up.
Just take a cab or uber to the coffee shop so you don't have to walk around in that disgusting NYC heat.

Understandable. Maybe try wearing a t-shirt and getting to the coffee shop early to change into your shirt and tie/blazer/whatever and cool off?
