What's with all these IBD themed meme accounts? Some of them are pretty funny / amusing, but think they set a stupid precedent for what young kids going into, or trying get into, analyst programs are to expect. This snarky, overly critical attitude has always been around since Liars Poker and Monkey Business. When I started, I was amped to finally be among the "elite" and proceed to trash anyone who wasn't. This is / was a bullshit perspective to have and very immature. I quickly learned that while some of those tropes have elements of truth, people in investment banking aren't really like that. Everyone's too stressed, busy, and tired to think about all that shit. Anyway, apropos of nothing no real point to this; just a warning to soon to be or wannbe monkeys to not take any of these memes seriously; just a meme not real life.
