Ray J Superday

So I have a superday coming up next week (Thurs.) with Ray J in Houston for their energy banking group. My only interviews thus far have been in S&T with BB firms, so I was wondering what type of stuff I should look over to prepare for this interview? Thanks in advance...

Sorry this is irrelevant, but when I read Ray J superday I thought this was a joke post about "For the Love of Ray J" on mtv.

Its always weird to me when people toss out out uncommon acronyms. Don't call them Ray J during the interview.

Ummm, disregard dazedmonk, everyone at Raymond James refers to it as "rayjay". Employees have been calling it that for years and years and years. Also, on the buyside "rayjay" is not an uncommon acronym, every buysider would know exactly who you are talking about. No one would notice it if you said "rayjay" at the interview.

Energy group is typically the top one or two producing groups at the firm. The guys in the Houston office are typically on the quiet side. Also, the energy guys are a very loyal group, your network will be solid. If you want to be in a ton of deals you will get that.

I would anticipate the standard investment banking questions, nothing off the wall.

It's for SA. And yes, as far as dealflow goes, just looking at what they had on their site it looks pretty solid for their size.

Michael- Are you interviewing as well?

Lots of questions- Can you elaborate on the "standard investment banking questions", do you mean something like, "how would you value a company?" and that sort of stuff?

Interviewed for a FT position, still haven't heard back about the Superday (which is supposedly the weekend after the SA Superday weekend according to the MD that interviewed me.)
