Real Estate to Investment Banking
I am currently in high school deciding my major for college. I hope to eventually end up in investment banking. For most schools I have finance/ econ major, but for other schools like UW madison which has a great real estate program, I will major in RE. If I ended up going to UW, is it possible to go to investment banking from that major? Is there a such thing as real estate investment banking? Any comments would be great as I cant find anything online.
yes, RE IB exists. In terms of UW, if you have been accepted into the business school, plenty of people double major in Finance & Real Estate. If you are interested in RE specifically, plenty of roles in acquisitions, REPE, and RE IB are feasible coming out of UW-Madison
Thanks for the reply. What exactly does REPE and RE IB entail? What type of things are the analysts doing?
