Recent info on Guggenheim - prestige and placement

Does anyone have any recent information on Guggenheim in terms of how their analysts are placing into Private Equity and or Hedge funds? Also, I know theres a bit of a divide between whether or not they have broken into EB yet, so is there any information as to how they are perceived by the rest of the street?

Guggenheim seems to be more focused on cultivating career bankers from the guys I know at the firm. Their rep is improving in time however, and I don't think a megafund PE shop is absolutely impossible but you'll need to have some people pulling for you. If Guggenheim isn't considered an EB yet it is as close as it gets.

Lateraling over to Evercore, Centerview, GS, JP, etc; is certainly possible.
